I started this blog while spending a quarter of law school in Lyon, France, as a way to keep in touch with my friends back home. Since returning to the States, I’ve graduated from law school and am now working as an associate at a law firm in the Pacific Northwest.
I live in Seattle with my husband, our twin baby boys, an energetic puppy, and a grumpy cat (all boys!). When not working or chasing after the boys in my life, I spend time sewing, knitting, baking, skiing and traveling as often as possible.
I’ve been sewing off and on since my senior year of high school, when I decided I *needed* to make a quilt for my high school boyfriend. My skills have definitely improved in the last decade and while I still do some quilting, my main focus now is on garment construction. I’m hoping to eventually possess an entirely handmade wardrobe.
I’m fairly new to knitting (despite having learned how to knit in fourth grade, I only picked it up seriously a few months ago) but I love it. It’s the perfect go-to activity when I want to watch TV with the husband or just can’t get to the sewing machine for some reason. So far, I’ve made one sweater, a few scarves, some hats and cowls and a lot of socks.
I’m hoping this blog will allow me to connect with the amazing online sewing community and maybe meet some other Seattle-area sewers and knitters!
